John's roots in photography venture back to his home state of Indiana, where he first picked up a camera. A journey that started with his parent's disposable cameras soon moved to John learning how to shoot and develop his own film stock. 

John went on to study digital communications at Ball State University in Indiana. John worked as photographer for Ball State and then later moved his talents to providing photography for the Indiana Senate.

Upon moving to Los Angeles to work in the film industry, John began shooting for a marketing company. Here, he photographed clients for rebranding campaigns for Fortune 500 companies.
